Ladies and gentlemen, behold...the hyper-death cannon! [Giant metal door starts to slide open] Oh wait, wrong thing. [Pushes button, and the door slides back closed] Yeah, that's for something else. Forget I did that. Really, just forgot about that. [Beat] Right, let's do this again...
Ladies and gentlemen, behold...Maginate Duel! [Beat] It's a working name, okay?
So, what is Maginate Duel? It's a card game. What type of card game? Well, it's not a collectable card game where you get the cards to build customized decks. It's not a deckbuilding card game where you use that's available to build your deck. It's a creative card game where you create the cards you play with. Yes, you have to create the cards. No, you don't have to be super special awesome artists. You're okay as long as you can draw basic shapes or stick figures. Also, there are only two card types. That's right, two card types.

The first type is maginate. A maginate is a creature that comes from your imagination and is what does the fighting in this game. The second type is persona. A persona is the identity you assume for this game that supports your maginates. All cards must be your own creations. Using Harry Potter characters is not okay. Using characters you created for your Harry Potter fanfic is okay.
So why did I create this game? Because I wanted to create a card game that didn't involve spending a lot of money to play it. All you need to play are a pencil or pen, blank index cards, paper, and a coin. Also, maybe dice. Let's see where this goes. You and a friend want to see whose creations would be the best? Here's one way of settling that argument. The only limit is your imagination. Can a ninja penguin defeat a Spartan lion? Can a blob defeat a heavily armed dinosaur? Can a war bear defeat a satellite cannon? The answer is yes. Again, the only limit is your imagination. Also, war beaaaaaaaaaaaaaar! We will have vengeance! [Shakes fist]
Right now, I'm looking for playtesters for the game to see if this would be a marketable game or at least create something that people can enjoy. So far, I've come up with the following materials (due to how my brain works, I'll now be posting when I update a document):
Rules of Creation (uploaded 5/9/2021)
Card Template (last updated 5/7/2021)
Persona Card Creation (last updated 11/21/2021)
Maginate Card Creation (last updated 12/19/2021)
Gameplay (last updated 11/23/2021)
I've also created a maginate stat and cost calculator that can be found here. If you're going to use it online, please reset it when you're done. Although the game was designed for real life, Setsu was kind enough to create online card templates in psd and png formats for use here.
I hope you'll help me out in developing this game. Farewell.
