Deus Name: Marty McFinney

Marty is of average height for a guy, and stocky in the athletic way.  Most of him is well-placed muscle, which he spends some time cultivating.  He has short, thick and very curly purple-black hair, bright blue eyes and the kind of lashes girls go for (or are extremely jealous of...), and his expression tends to be a kind of permanent easygoing grin.  He'll definitely end up with some smile lines later in life.  Somewhat up for debate is the soul patch he refuses to get rid of.  Most of the time he wears workout-type or casual clothes such as track pants or board shorts, high-top sneakers and hoodies, though he does have a letter jacket from his old high school he's very fond of.
Bio: He'll tell you he's in Japan for a wrestling scholarship, and it's true, but Marty will take up any sport that appeals to him at the time - wrestling, kendo, baseball...even fishing if it seems like fun for the day.  This is how he got into Angelic Layer, since the idea of a sport played with the brain seemed really interesting.  It took him a little while to even consider putting a p-chip into his Angel, but he doesn't regret the choice at all.
Marty spends an awful lot of time just hanging around; his school days seem to be fairly short, though he's actually up with the sun.  He starts every day with a jog around his neighborhood.  He's always up for a friendly match, whether it's arm wrestling, a snack-eating challenge, or a Layer match, and particularly loves being outdoors, especially camping and hiking.

He's a huge believer in sportsmanship and fairness, and won't hesitate to even call out teammates for any infractions of rules, whether real or just personal.  Marty has no time for bullies and won't tolerate them if he comes across one; he can be a bit of a white knight sometimes.

A little on the short side and not as lightweight as most Speed-types.  Most of his tentacles are pulled back, with the longer two in a showy ponytail, though a few hang loose to one side of his face.  Much like his Deus, he seems to have a perpetual grin and while his eyes are friendly, he usually seems excited about something, and even a little twitchy sometimes.  Overall he's dressed like a rockstar or a biker, with (over the usual bodysuit) a black leather jacket and a pair of motorcycle boots.  Both jacket and boots are painted with stylized flames, which seem to be his motif of choice.  His tentacle color is an olive green, and he has stripes on them instead of the usual spots.  His pointed ika ears usually stay hidden beneath a huge pair of headphones.
Bio: Squee can be outgoing to the point of annoyance; he doesn't seem to know exactly when to quit with people, though mostly he just clowns around and seems to be obnoxious in good fun rather than setting out to be a pain in the tail.  He's particularly fond of trying out (often cheesy) pickup lines on the ladies... at least he can laugh at himself as much as everyone else does.  Nothing much seems to get to him, though when it eventually does, he'll just go sit quietly somewhere for a while and be just fine later on.  He likes to show off on the Layer - and just about everywhere else - with fancy moves which are impressive, if not always elegant.  He's effective and good at what he does, but he's always looking to polish his style up, and is always up for a good party.
