A little short for her age, Fumi has wavy dark-blonde hair and big blue eyes. She likes frilly dresses and most of her wardrobe consists of variations on that theme, with a few more sensible selections. She almost always accessorizes with a ribbon of some sort (an affectation she picked up from Sela and her scarf collection), and also collects cute charms. She wants to get her ears pierced, but her mother is holding off on this until Fumi is a little older. Until then she just gets to window-shop and daydream about jewelry.

Bio: Granddaughter of Tanaka Hiiro, the landlord at Sela’s apartment house. Fumi is an only child, and she and her parents (her mother is English) live with her grandfather in his apartment. Her father has his reservations about the amount of time she spends upstairs since she might be bothering the resident teacher, but allows it since he’s been outvoted by his own family and Sela insists it’s all right with her. While Fumi does do a little studying, mostly she’s playing with Fairlane and Alfred, practicing sparring. Fumi is mostly well-behaved, at least around adults. Around her peers she’s a regular giggly six-year-old girl, with a budding passion for fashion and a love of romantic fairy tales. She wants to learn to make clothing and has started with her collection of dolls. Soon she’ll probably branch out into designing for Angels as well, with Alfred’s help.

She seems to be trying to pair Alfred up with Fairlane, much to the former’s flattered embarrassment and the latter’s confused glee, and will compose little stories about them, almost always with the prince-and-princess theme.

Alfred, according to Fumi, is supposed to be a prince. He looks (and acts) more like a diplomat, wearing a dove-gray vest with long tails over a neat white shirt and a dove-gray suit that extends into trousers buttoned over the tops of his impeccably-shiny black shoes. He has a black ribbon bowtie, a similar ribbon holding his hair back, black sleeve-garters, and gray gloves. His Angel Cord resembles a watch-chain, with a monocle that doubles as a pocket-watch at the end.
Hair: Brown, a little flyaway – tied into a short ponytail at the nape of his neck.
Eyes: Brown.

Bio: Alfred has yet to make his way to the Layers, mostly because he spends his time babysitting his Deus. Whether this was the intention or not is unclear, though Alfred himself was a gift from Fumi’s grandfather. Both he and the old man are fond of Fairlane, who calls Alfred Fredo-kun. He’s quite the little gentleman and very domestically-minded, more of a utility Angel than a combat model. He doesn’t seem to have any inclination to compete or fight, though he is protective of Fumi, and any perceived threat to her well-being will get his dander up. Clearly even if his body isn’t able yet, his spirit will certainly defend his castle until the bitter end.

Alfred is soft-spoken, with a quiet voice and perfect manners, though he can make himself heard when he wants to and can be very decisive when he needs to take charge. Considering his ‘job’, that’s fairly often. Fumi will listen to him, though, most of the time, and he seems to be a good influence on her. He’s polite without being too formal, generally cheerful, tolerant, and can get along with most anyone. He’s good at remembering facts, dates and appointments, and will often help Fumi with her schoolwork. He can also sew.

Entry Line: Alfred has yet to make an official appearance on the Layers, so he doesn’t have an entry line…but they’re working on one.
