SPECIAL OFFER
PIFFLE CO is CALLING ALL DEUSES
for a LIMITED BETA TEST
Let's spice up the Layers! Are you ready for TURF WAR?
We are looking for teams of two to four Deuses willing to help beta test a new Layer Mode!
PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:
Ika/Tako Edition Angels can all fight hand-to-hand like traditional Angels and are similar in structure, being humanoid. Like traditional Angels, they can't stay submerged in water for more than a few seconds without suffering circuitry damage. Special Edition Angels have tentacles instead of hair, which can be styled in much the same way if desired. They have basic stats which can be upgraded in the same way as standard Angels, but at the present time Special Edition Angels can only participate in the new mode and will not be registered on standard Layers. Ika Angels' Cords are their two longer tentacles. Tako Angels' Cords are two long strips of seaweed on their heads.
Each Special Edition Angel comes programmed with the capability to have one Signature Move. "Ink Layer" Signature Moves must be charged up during the match and can be used as many times as they can be powered up.
BETA TEST DETAILS:
"Ink Layer"
Turf War
requires teams of 2-4 Angels.
"Ink Layer" matches are fought with both hand-to-hand combat and special weapons specific to this Layer Mode ONLY, which "shoot" light-based "ink" to cover ground or to tag opponents. Competing Angels' tentacle color will change to represent their team's "ink" color for the duration of the match. Standing in the opposing team's "ink" impedes an Angel's Speed by 1 point - this point is regained once out of the "ink" and either on dry ground or in the Angel's own color "ink". Being tagged with the opposing team's "ink" registers as a hit, and will knock an Angel back according to their weight (ex. lightweight Angels will be knocked back a full step with each hit, whereas the heaviest Angels will only be stopped in their tracks - those in between will require successive hits to be pushed back). 5 successive "ink" hits/1 direct hit from a Special Weapon freezes the tagged Angel in place for 5 seconds, after which they may resume combat. "Ink tanks" are required to measure an Angel's available or remaining "ammunition" - each "tank" "contains" 10 "shots" which will "refill" when used at a rate of one "shot" per second. "Ink" hits do no damage to an Angel's HP, but physical blows, partial blocks, fall damage and bites still count, so pay attention! The match ends with the last Angel standing, and the winning team is determined by percentage of "ink" covering all horizontal portions of the terrain.
Signature Moves are powered up via "ink" coverage, which is measured separately in "points" that only count up when leaving "ink" on a blank surface or one already covered in the opposing team's "ink". All "Ink Layer" Signature Moves require 100 "points" to charge, and do not use up the Angel's "ink" supply when activated.
"Ink Layer" Signature Moves are available ONLY in "Ink Layer" matches (ALL have 5-second duration):
"Ink Layer" Weapons are customizable, but will only function in "Ink Layer" matches:
