ALTS

We're using the ALTERS plugin by Wormopolis, so everyone can have multiple characters and yet not have to have a separate forum account for each one. Hooray, what a relief to some of us, right?

This allows users to post as any one of their characters who might be entered in the plugin, without showing up as themselves - TL;DR it looks like the alt made the post. Unfortunately, the info entry and setup of these alts is going to have to be done via the Admins, so here's what we're gonna do:



PM the Admins with what you want in the various plugin fields (if the acreenshot isn't self-explanatory enough, here's a rundown):

username: each one gets a fake username
display name: the name you want to show up on the mini-profile
active?: defaults to YES so you can use your alt to post
display name color: not actually planning on using this
group name: only being used for AL characters (AL Players, PP Staff)
forum groups: also only applies to the AL characters (PP Staff, PP Judge)
custom title: used to indicate PP Staff positions
character bio: link to the character's profile post in the Census board
avatar url: link for the avatar you want to use*
personal text: for Staff/Judges there's an icon that goes here - for AL Players, use your Entry Line if you have one.
post count %: not in use, ALCard earnings are separate from the bit system
join date: not in use
birthday: optional
location: optional
gender: optional
signature html: IMPORTANT. For AL Characters, this is where your Angel's name and stats go, so the Judges can just copy/paste it when you have a match. Use the following code and plug in your Angel's name/type/stats (hit/block/NDS if any will be calculated afterward if you choose not to do that yourself):

(remember NDS only applies to Defense Types) Angel stats and their effects will be updated when they change, as will Card Points. Alt settings don't currently allow for custom miniprofile fields, so this is our workaround.

* AL Players and PP Staff/Judges can request a custom pixel "AL Card" avatar like those pictured in the example. Setsu does these and it takes a grand total of maybe ten minutes, so no sweat ;) Upload yours to your image host of choice and send the link to the Admins.

Once you have your alt(s), when posting or replying to a thread you can select which one to post as from a popup list accessed next to the CREATE THREAD button:
