ABOUT CROSSPOINT
Crosspoint is a small community, but we're trying to keep interesting things happening all the time! The staff is here to step in when necessary, open to feedback and always willing to offer some of our own. This is a roleplay board - we're here to have a good time.

What the heck is AU? AU stands for Alternate Universe. Different endings to stories, different outcomes and their consequences, evil twins, genderswaps and more fall under AU!
Forum RP? It's a little different from tabletop or MMO roleplay. Think of it as writing a story with several other authors. It's a collaborative effort known as a 'round-robin', and everyone writes their own characters' bits, playing off of the others.
Do I have to play everywhere? Not at all, you can join to play in whichever board you choose. But don't be a stranger, we're all friendly here.
Can I suggest a new board? Well, if you have a series/movie/book/whatever you love to pieces, prepare a writeup, with a board-specific profile for characters, and PM the Admins about it. You will be the one in charge of your board and monitoring the RP going on in it, so keep that in mind when asking.

-GENERAL RULES-
_____________
- Combat is fine. After all, what's life without a little conflict to spice it up? Killing off characters without consent is not fine. No snuffing unless all parties agree, please.
- Romance is great! However, please 'fade to black' or otherwise segue off-camera before things heat up too much.
- There is no set thread limit, but we do ask that you post at least once a week in each thread you're in. If you can't keep up due to unforeseen life complications (and hey, we all know it happens), just be sure you let your RP partners know. This is a casual place with pretty laid-back rules, but try not to let your threads die.
- Remember to identify RPs by tag: (OPEN) if it's free to join in, or (CLOSED) if it's a private affair.
- There is no set literacy level, but please keep your posts at least one five-sentence paragraph in length. Everyone appreciates having something to work with.
- Fancy fontwork isn't a requirement. Not all computers have the same font list, and some special fonts can be very hard to read at small sizes. Sometimes we use different colors for different characters' 'speaking' voices because it makes it easier to tell who's talking at a glance.
- Please be considerate of the other players - characters are characters, but players are real people.

You're almost there! By now you've read through all the rules and guidelines - we don't expect you to be able to quote them verbatim, but you should be familiar with the law of the land.
The password for the application board is hidden in these rules. Once you have that, head on over and fill out the profile provided there. Crosspoint encourages peer review; everyone with access can comment or critique, but only the moderators can approve a character. Once it's been accepted, your character's profile will be moved to the census board and you can get started!
- Everyone can see and access the roleplay boards, but please don't start or post in threads until your characters have been accepted.
- There is a repository for the various profiles, but for the sake of organization (and making it easier for everyone to connect players with characters), you may want to also keep a page with a list of your own characters. Each player is responsible for their own list and the upkeep of their own profiles. Profiles or list pages can be linked in your forum signature, and character lists should be placed in the profile board.
